Pikesville Straight Rye Whisky refuses to be forgotten. First produced in Maryland in the 1890s, the brand, along with the rest of the once booming Maryland Rye industry, was closed by prohibition.
Once the dust had settled after the repeal of the 18th Amendment, which enacted Prohibition, Andrew Merle acquired the Pikesville brand and started production of Maryland Rye.
Now produced in Kentucky from extra-aged barrels stored in prime warehouse locations. Heaven Hill keeps this historic Maryland mark alive with this 6 year old 110 proof delightful Rye.
Dry and spicy, with honeyed Rye and cloves with a soft vanilla and baking spices finish. The aroma is dusty cocoa with oaky smoke underneath.
