Caribbean rum is blended with sweet vanilla, toasted caramel and jet black liquorice to create The Original Rum Blend, in the small town of Pontefract, England they have long been experts in growing liquorice which they form into sweet liquorice cakes called Pontefract Cakes, often called The Yorkshire Penny.
The jet black coins tasted of Liquorice, caramel and vanilla and made Pontefract famous. They add these pennies to the Rum to create this 'Pontefract Miracle'.
