2000 PORT CASK FORGED

The 2000 Port Cask is a limited edition rare, cask strength (54.1% ABV) and non-chill-filtered Irish single malt. It represents the next bold step for Bushmills, one that honours the giants and generations before us and the incomparable natural landscape in which its forged.

This unparalleled single malt has spent its entire life in rare first-fill ruby port casks. After an incredible 20 years patiently maturing in these wine casks from northern Portugal, our malt is imbued with big, bold, and luscious red fruit flavours. The years have ripened the fresher strawberry and raspberry notes, giving them a deeper, richer, and sweeter fruit jam quality. The fortified port wine cask has added waves of sweet, caramelised toffee notes, balanced by a hint of sweet chilli. The result is a unique red gold whiskey with sensational depth, bursting with red fruit notes, caramelised toffee, and a warming allspice finish. It is a sensational whiskey that stands with the best of Irish single malt, a giant in its own right.
