Waterford Distillery Heritage Hunter 1.1 Irish Single Malt Whiskey 70cl
From the Waterford distillery comes their Heritage Hunter edition, which is part of the Arcadian Farm Origin range.
This release explores a Barley variety from yonder year which was named of Dr Herbert Hunter, with the single malt in question only having using a total of 50g of the Hunter Barley. The Barley is cultivated over several years which only yields a total of 50 Barrels.
The Whisky is then aged in a variety of casks: First-fill American Oak, Virgin American Oak, French Oak and Vin Doux Natural casks.
A wonderful palate full of Citrus Sponge Cake and undertones of Savoury Spice throughout and a lingering finish.
