The Foursquare distillery is owned by R.L. Seale & Co. Ltd who have five generations with the Rum industry. Their expertise dates back to 1820 and their roots within Barbados even date back to the 1650's! With the distillery being wholly family owned and run they are able to explore many different avenues and experiment, whereas many of the other distilleries are tied to a parent company and so don't have this freedom. 

Due to having this freedom the Foursquare team are able to dedicate more time and money into their Rums allowing a higher quality product to be achieved!
