Bundaberg first started their production in 1888 in Australia, and they did this because they believed that the sugar that was being produced had a better purpose than just making cakes! Their first batch was release in 1889, and they went BIG, releasing 225,000 gallons of their Rum! 

1890-1893 Bundaberg hits receivership and the doors almost close, except three men decide to buy it and keep it going. However 14 years later and a fire hits the distillery, not the only one by all accounts to hit them within this century! 

Along comes 1936 and a lighting strike the distillery and sets off a fire which against all efforts burnt down the distillery! 3 years rebuilding and its back to its former glory! Still to this day they are producing their fantastic rum even after all the problems they have faced!
