In 1987 Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. was finally able to fulfill a lifelong dream by reviving his grandfathers recipe. Thomas' grandfather Augustus Bulleit produced a Whisky between 1830-1860 but this soon died out.

In 1987 Thomas decided to pack up his things in his successful law firm and decided to risk it all with this recipe. How thankful we are that he did, cause if he didn't then these famous Whiskies wouldn't be with us today and that would be a real shame!
