Brugal distillery was first created in 1888 by Don Andres Brugal Montaner in Puerto Plata. His inspiration came from wanting to perfect the rum making technique. He did this by imprinting the core values of 'Passion, Dedication and Hard Work'.
These core values have been instilled into the whole production of their rum and has been passed down the five different generations that have taken on the Brugal distillery. The fifth generation to take this on is the team of Jassil Villanueva and Gustavo Ortega Zeller, with Jassil being the first woman of the family to be a Maestro Ronero!
