MOUNT GAY rum
This story begins in 1703 in the Caribbean, namely Barbados where they were producing a Rum called 'Kill-Devil'. John Sober acquired the distillery and with little knowledge asked for help from his friend Sir John Gay.
Sir John Gay was entrusted with running the business and quickly took to this whilst further developing the distillation process, he made a better end product which was soon known as Mount Gay Rum.
