In the year 2007 a discovery was made which dates back to the early 1900s when one Sir Ernest Shackleton took an expedition in Antarctica and left a his Whisky which 100 years later still remained perfectly in tact.
This discovery led Richard Paterson to focus his resources on recreating this Whisky which he would use to raise £250,000 for the Antarctic Heritage Trust.
Later this resulted in the charity and the Grand-daughter of Ernest (Alexandra Shackleton) to approach Richard to work on a joint venture of recreating a second edition.
Richard took a combination of whiskies including: Jura, Aultmore, Ben Nevis, heavily peated Dalmore and a rare cask of 1980 Glen Mhor.
