The grapefruit is the offspring of proud parents. Back in the late 18th century, when the sweetness of the orange was crossbred successfully with the sharp bitterness of the shaddock, Mother Nature created something fantastic. In the Caribbean, especially in Jamaica, grapefruit lemonades are very popular drinks. A great refreshment with a very particular taste, combining bitter, sweet and sour nuances. Sadly, a proper grapefruit lemonade is hard to come by. It’s about time to change that, not only because many bartenders constantly asked us to do so.
