Roughly ten years ago, scientists decided to have a look through a rather large telescope and just so happened to discover a dust cloud in the middle of the Milky Way. In said cloud, they stumbled across a particular ester that is responsible for the taste of raspberries. If that isn't exciting enough for you, it also reportedly smells of rum!

Hold onto your seat folks, as this led to the creation of the Central Galactic Spiced Rum! Starting with a base of Caribbean Spiced Rum, then adding pot-distilled raspberry distillate, star anise (for that extra twinkle), and a final addition of lime peel.

Central Galactic have recreated the very discovery that was made a decade ago and managed to contain it within a bottle for us lucky souls to enjoy!
