Hugo Asbach is considered by many to be a pioneer and a creator of his time. Born in 1868 in Cologne, Germany, Asbach spent a long time in France learning how to distill wine. In 1892 Hugo returned to Germany and founded his own company in Rudesheim on the banks of the Rhine River with just two pot stills.
After Hugo sadly passed away, his sons continued his legacy but looked to expand the once small distillery! They still follow in his footsteps and continue to use the best quality distillate and have done so ever since! Now Asbach can be enjoyed all over the world in over 50 different countries!
